Password
Password generator
The browser provides the randomness, not us. The password never goes on the wire and does not stay on the page.
Your password
123 bits of strength · with years to spare
Drops zero and the letter O, one and l and I — the pairs people confuse when copying a password off a screen.
How it works
Characters come from the browser’s randomness source — the same one cryptography itself uses. Evenly: no character comes up more often than another.
- At least one character from every enabled set is guaranteed to be in the password, and then everything is shuffled.
- Strength is counted honestly — from the length and the alphabet size, not from “there is a capital letter, so it is strong”.
- The password goes into neither the page history, nor the address, nor browser storage: it lives on the screen only.
Common questions
Why trust an online generator at all?
Mostly you should not — there is no way to check anything on the server side. Here you can: open the developer tools, Network tab, and generate a password. There will be no request.
What length should I take?
From 16 characters for ordinary sites and from 24 for email, banking and a domain control panel: email is what the rest of your passwords are recovered through, so it is worth more than the others.
Where do I keep it?
In a password manager. A long random password cannot be memorised — that is not a flaw but the point: what is memorable is usually guessable.
